The Solid Safety Cover is an industry standard, a PVC pool cover that prevents child drowning.
Unlike most pool covers, this one prevents rainwater from accumulating on top of the cover, which could endanger curious toddlers.
It not only forms an impenetrable barrier over the water, but is also designed to be easily and quickly taken off the pool. The Solid Safety Cover contributes to household savings in addition to providing uncompromised peace of mind.
During summer, evaporation is decreased by 98% with an increase in water temperature to extend your swimming season. The Solid Safety Cover also prevents foreign matter, like leaves, from entering the pool, keeping it hygienic and minimising the strain on your filtration systems. On average, your pool pump uses 12% of the household electricity allocation, this is a notable saving that minimises maintenance required.
The Solid Safety Cover prevents a child from slipping through. While the maximum weight tolerance is 200kg, we are careful not to suggest it for use as a trampoline.
Supported across the pool is the 32mm diameter lightweight aluminium poles that are secured within the PVC cover.
The aluminium poles run the width of the pool and are spaced 1m apart, extending approximately 30cm over the paving resulting in the PVC cover being suspended over the water. This allows for a series of 10mm drainage holes to be created in the cover, allowing rainwater and irrigation water to drain through. The drainage holes serve the dual-purpose of ventilation and prevention of toxic gases from building up beneath.

Aesthetically Pleasing

It is recommended that two people open and close the cover. At the shallow and deep end, we epoxy anchor sockets with removable anchor bolts into the paving. One end is secured with triangle buckles that hook over the bolts, while the opposite end has ratchets that allow the cover to be tightened.
The ratchet system is generally very simple to use, but it is complicated enough for children that it serves as a safety device.
When securing the cover, no physical strength is required to create the necessary tension, which has the added benefit of increasing the pool user’s likelihood of replacing the cover after using the pool. When not in use, the entire cover can be placed on the paving at the deep end or stored away.
To avoid stumbling over the protruding stainless steel anchor bolts, we designed it so that you can unscrew it by hand from the drop-in socket, which is flush with the paving. A plastic cap protects the anchor bolt for added security.
This aesthetically pleasing cover is available in six different colours, allowing you to match it to your home’s décor. The 600gsm PVC material is the latest in technology and comes with the Black Anti-algae Guard beneath the cover that prevents sunlight from entering the pool. This prevents algae growth and significantly reduces chlorination and filtration.
The PVC is joined using high frequency heating. No glue is used because it will come undone and no stitching is used because it will perforate your cover. The PVC material is long-lasting and resistant to scuffing.
Because the cover is not in direct contact with the chemicals in the water, it has a longer lifespan and has no effect on the performance of the pool cleaner beneath it.
